Import/Export
We can handle all aspects of import and export freight
handling on your behalf from large commercial
consignments including the management of supply
chains and distribution programs through to shipping
of excess baggage, household goods and personal
effects for the general public. Our highly experienced
staff understand the import export business and
can help you to fully leverage the most appropriate
services for your requirements.
Consolidations
Standard consolidations are cheaper than must fly
services and are operated under more flexible terms,
generally with
a 3 day
window. In most instances cargo will ship as hoped,
but if available capacity is used, for example
for passenger cargo, mail services or must fly
premium services then the standard consolidation
is held back for the next flight. This type of
service is fine if you are flexible with the delivery
date.
Premium
Services
For time sensitive shipments we can arrange for
must fly premium air freight services. Whilst not
as expensive courier services, this type of shipment
is booked on scheduled consolidations but with
the guarantee that it must leave with the plane
and arrive at the destination as agreed.
Out
Of Gauge
We can arrange transport of most outsized cargoes
such as yachts, boats, architectural metalwork,
large vehicles, construction plant and
film props etc. Genarlly speaking the definition
of out of gauge is a piece of freight that will not fit in a standard air freight
container.
Charter
Charter services can be arranged to & from any location in the world, including
remote sites such as oil fields and rural locations, at any time to suit you.
A full range of aircraft are available from 1.2 ton payload Beech KingAir light
aircraft
through to 110 ton payload Boeing B747-200's.
Air
Taxi
A full range of light aircraft are available for passenger and cargo flights.
Executive jets with capacities of 4, 6 and 8 people with ranges up to 1200m are
available for flights to most Western European destinations.
Courier
Services
EMJ Courier is an inhouse Domestic and International Courier Services company
based within the offices of Chiltern Air Freight Ltd that offers domestic and
European sameday and nextday services.
Car
Shipping
Chiltern Air Freight has a long history of shipping vehicles overseas by air.
Examples include the import/export of cars for sale as well as race cars on temporary
export permits for international race events.
